Many thanks to Jorn's post regarding the 300 SDL located in Santa Monica, I spoke with the seller tonight and it seems just the car I am looking for...even the colors! "1987 300SDL on craigslist" I spoke with the guy who is selling it tonight, he says he used to work for an independent shop as a mechanic, he says he is selling for a Dr., client of his, then I asked some basic questions like A/C works, or not is it 134A, and he was a little hesitant in his answers. Would love for someone in the are to take a look if they could and would of course be willing to compensate them for their time and trouble. Thanks a lot.

I don't know anyone over on the west side. However, everyone on the board seems to trust Enrique Rodriguez over at Mr. MB Motors in Tarzana. Take it to him if you can go that far - you won't regret it as he really knows his stuff. He'll tell you straight up what's going on with any MB.

I am looking to get in touch with Mrdhh or Jorn to look at the car now, Wanted to have it taken to Enrique Rodriguez at Mr. MB Motors, (pretty well respected on this forum) for a pre-purchase inspection. Seller wants me to go to his mechanic at Superformance, kinda would love to get it to people that the forum reccomends.
