While the soft top is perfect on my 1990 W129 500SL, I have noticed a couple of drops of rain at the top front of the right side window on two occasions when it was very windy. It does not rain a lot around here, and I don't use the car a lot. (24k miles since new), so I have not seen this too much yet. There is no obvious defect in the sealing. The window appears to close fully. The left side is OK.

Many mods to both hard top seals & pillar seals. Most early cars were modified under warranty. If your car hasn't been modified then thats the problem

I have the same problem with my 93 300SL. What is the modification. Can I do something to stop the leak or do I need to take it to a dealer.
