I tried to post a new thread in the Diesel Discussion forum, I pressed "submit message", and I got an error screen, I hit the refresh button on the browser, I got my message again, so I pressed "submit message" again, it told me the message had already been posted and that I could not post a duplicate within 5 mins of the first post. We have 4 10,000 rpm SCSI drives in a RAID 5 running Linux. In addition, we were SUPPOSED to have an additional IDE drive for automatic daily, weekly and monthly backups. I have been paying my web host an extra $45/month just for the backups and the extra drive. I found out today that we never have had any backups. The sales people forgot to tell the technical people to configure the server that way! We've had this server for well over a year. Needless to say we're going to get a refund! We have 2 managed dedicated servers with these people. DaveWhat were you searching for? So far the search function has worked fine for me. If there is a problem we may have to rebuild the search index in the database. I'll have to take the site down for 24 hours to do it. |
