Stock tire is 195/65/15. I'm considering using 205/60/15. Need to know if there is significant effect on speedometer, ABS, etc.
ride will probably be slightly harsher..but will handling be improved? Will hydroplaning be more problematic? Thanks.

Hi James,
I switched my 400E from stock 195/65/15 to 205/60/15 before going to the 225/50/16's. The 205's work well. Good handling improvment, ride is no better or worse, any speedo error would be so slight even at triple digits. There is only a 7.5mm difference between the two. That is negligible considering you could get 7.5mm variance from worn/full tread or air pressure. Ride and aquaplaning is more of a function of the tire used. I'm not as current as to what tires are offered in 205/60/15 but I think Michelin makes the Pilot SX in that size. If they do I would recommend it. The SX is a slightly softer version of the Max Performance MXX3. Loses a little handling off MXX3 #'s, gains ride, treadwear, etc. It wont do heavy snow or ice but wet and dry should be great.
Hope this helps....Lee
