CNBC sent the following message out with their daily financial wrapup:

"The New York Times reported today that Daimler Chrysler plans to introduce to America's suburbs a vehicle now used by the German military that dwarfs not only our biggest SUVs, but even GM's Hummer. The new runnabout is 9.5 feet tall and weighs 6.5 tons - as much as four Toyota Camrys. It will get about 10 miles to the gallon, but that's no problem because the tank holds 52 gallons (and would cost about $80 to fill up in my neighborhood). Base price $83,000. Name: Unimog. I guess "Godzilla" is taken. "

As you know, DaimlerChrysler announced several weeks ago that they had bought Europa and planned to begin importing the G-Wagen into the US.

G-Wagens AND Unimogs! Sounds like an invasion!
