Alot of people ask what would be a good shop for me to bring my Mercedes , Bmw , Volvo , why not to the people who have the technology and training on those models. Thats like I will only work for a shop that is a Bosch Service Center. These technicians go to school and learn about only the systems in your car . Next time you go bring your car into a shop find out if they have enough experience and technology to fix your car cause anyone can work on a car but it takes a skilled technician to fix it.
just a thought louisiana tech

I work for the largest independent I know of in the Atlanta area. We opted not to be a BSC. I felt like the training being offered was marginal at best.

I like the Mercedes training books that I get under the table from other techs.

I agree about the use of shop manuals I have spent a minor fortune on them myself, but when you have the best of both its unreal what you can do.Some of the Mercedes manuals dont get as technical as the Bosch information.

I can say that the Mercedes Dealership Service Dept. in Baton Rouge Stinks. They tear up your car and they never fix anything right. One of the many reasons why I sold my MB after only two years of ownership. I will never have another MB.
I have heard of only one good MB shop in BR and it is Milligan and sons, all of the others I hear are just as bad as dealership.

I cannot say that there are no other good shops in baton rouge. I worked for Milligan and son for 5 years and left after Mr Milligan retired. Now I do not speak bad about other competitors in this area, all I can say is that my customers prefer a shop that hires factory trained and technicians that are very picky about the work they do. I am very close friends with some of the most respected shops in this area. We all share information and advice . If I was to recommend someone to a shop other than ours , the only other one in baton rouge that does excellent work is Loupe European. He is very straight forward and does the job right.
I by the way work at Wedge Kyes Imports. Buisness is all based on customers , without them we wouldnt have a job. Thats why we keep them happy.:D

I don't know about Baton Rouge but I just moved to Texas from New Orleans and I used a shop called Lindsey or Lindsay Automotive next to the Airport. They only worked on Merz and a few other high end cars. The owners name is Jim but I dealt mostly with a guy named Chris in the office. Very responsive and customer focused. Also, prevented me from spending $$ on unnecessary repairs. Have their number in my car if you need it. If you talk to Chris tell him Keith( that just got transferred to Houston) sent you. Good Luck

Our trans tech is MB factory trained and one of the best I have worked with. I have worked with over 100 MB techs and he is one of the best trans techs I have worked with.

If it were me I would drag it 2 hours North to Campbell Imports in Richland, MS. I know that's a PIA but there are not to many other choices other than the dealer.
