I have a couple of question about the GPS system hope someone can provide information.
How do the GPS system works?
Are there any charges when using the system ?
Also I heard the 2000 M-class has Xenon lights is it true ?
Correct me if I am wrong
Thanks

Cheyun,

The only Y2K M-Class that has Xenon headlights is the ML55 AMG. However, it's not an option for neither ML320 nor ML430. But if it can fit on ML55, I am sure MB will make it an option sooner or later.

As GPS, I may be wrong of how it works, but here's the basic....

If you recall that there's a small antenna on the roof of the car that has GPS(BMW, MB, Porsche has same kind of antenna), the GPS(Command, as in Y2K S-Class)reads the Road CD in the car, and as you input your designation, and GPS calculates the routes and send it up the GPS satellite. After exchange information, the satellite keep track of the signal(send by Command, of course), and while the onboard GPS(Command)use wheel sensors to keep track how fast you travel, and send those info up to satellite again. Satellite will send back new info of your progress and updates the onboard GPS, thus shows the correct position on the screen of Command.

Hope this helps.....
