The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) started 09 Jan 2000 in Detroit. MBZ annouced that the next SLK (SLK 320) will have the 3.2 liter V-6 engine, 6-speed tranny and ESP. Today (10 Jan) MBZ debut the Vision SLA Concept Roadster with many retro touches from the 190SL and 300SL. The Vision SLA is based on the A-Class chassis/frame. The wheels are 19 inch. Well, the show started yesterday for the press, Thur & Fri suppliers can get in, Fri nite is the big fund raiser, and Saturday its open to the public. :cool:

Somehow, I see the second generation SLK in that SLA concept. As SLR is approve for production, I think the "arrow" nose might as well be the "trademark" for future Mercedes sports car.. :)

Nice one, but prefer SLR's look.. :)
