I actually like the direction the E-class is taking. Looks more aggressive with the larger greenhouse and lower nose. The current facelift is a nice transition into this design as well, but the new design is as radical departure as previously shown in the computer graphic- created red car halfway down the page. Personally I think the red car looks damn near Hyundai-ish with the contrived headlights, and I think they made the right choice to further smooth out the four eye look. To me the W211 as shown in the picture looks like a four door coupe, a direct relative the the CLK... It's more sporty than the W210 and should help MB against the Lexus GS, which appears to be selling well.

One gripe is the interior...MB is getting further and further away from the "wood down the middle" theme that separated benz interiors from everyone else... in lexus interiors the wood is an afterthought as black plastic dominates... I hope they realize this when it goes into final production.
