Hi everyone! I never got the chance to really stop and express my appreciation for this forum and to say "thank you" to its participants. So, I'd like to use this free time to do just that.
First off, this site is GREAT, for a lack of a better word here. It's very informative, helpful, and, at times, entertaining. I really think it's a lot better and more inclusive than other MB discussion boards. Many worries have been assuaged by the helpful advice and opinions of members here. A great "thank you" goes out to everyone here.
Another thing about this site is that it has made me more appreciative of the 500E/E500. Now, I've always admired the W124 design and hope one day to own a 90-95 E-class. I'm not too fond of the "circle lights," so I prefer the older style, as it is more timeless in design (IMO) and I love the two-toned color scheme; however, I must say that the W210 is growing on me. Anyhow, after reading the many postings about the 500E and the experiences with it, I think that's what I want for my next car. The 500E owners here (you know who you are) have instilled in me a passion and desire for this beast of a car. Hopefully, when I finish school and make some real money, I'd like to get one, granted that prices have dropped to an affordable level.
As for now, I'm quite content with my 90 190E, which, by the way, I would like to know more about. I read somewhere that Renntech stuffed a V12 in it! Wow! And that Brabus also squeezed in a V8! Are there any sites that I can go to find out more about these cars? I know I will never be able to do that to my modest car--but I can dream, can't I?
