I have a 1990 300CE with like 130K miles.
I have been loosing some coolant and then I saw some bubbles in the reservoir. I think this is an indication of head gasket failure?
I have worked on replacing water pumps, belt tensioner etc.
How difficult it is to do the headgasket? What to watch out for?
What else should be replaced, like valve stems? timing chains?
Can someone recommend a reputed person who works on MB in San Antonio, TX? How much does this cost?
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you haven't already found a shop you might try European Auto Werks on Nakoma. Great guys and excellent service.

I think I fixed the cycle of dim and bright light.
It was the brush problem in the alternator.
I replaced the voltage regulator on the alternator and the problem is resolved.
As this alternator was like 9 months old.
It was a Bosch rebuilt which I bought at Pep Boys.
Thanks
