Anyone know a good AC shop for an 83 300sd in Toronto?

I have some intermittent compressor clutch problems and two shops I've visited want to replace the whole compressor rather than having a go at fixing the clutch.

And the parts prices I'm being quoted are easily 30% more than bringing them in from Performance Products.

Are we sure its the compressor?? How about a bad connection in the pushpanel?

I think we are quite certain - given the rattle that emits from a black metal belt driven thingy on the lower front of the engine, with AC pipes coming out of it.

Wish it were something cheaper.....

Have you tried Forly on Parliament street?

Forli wanted to replace the whole caboodle!

I just left it and over time the noise went away (Think I had some dirt in the clutch or something). 6 months later the AC is working fine :)
