I have to reglue the round floor cover. This is the cover for the fuel sending unit for a ML55 AMG.
What sealant should be used? MB tech manual says body sealant but no specific one?

Go to an auto paint store and get 3M part #08531 "Heavy Drip Check Sealer". It can be put over bare metal, paint, or even glass and is under $10. There are many other sealers, but you would need a calking gun for them and have a lot of sealer left over.
