My son is looking for his first car and is dead set on buying a mid 90's BMW 325i in spite of my best efforts to steer him towards an MB. Does anyone know of a good BMW forum where he could get some reliable advice on this model?

Thanks

If he gets into modifying the car, www.dtmpower.net

For tech help: http://www.bimmerforums.com is helpful.

Familiarize yourself with the cracked rear subframe problem. It is an issue with some models of BMW.

Bimmer magazine did a good Buyer's Guide on those models a few issues ago. They usually have back issues for sale. Check out the current issue at most Borders or Barnes and Noble locations to get the address or phone number tocall.

Also Roadfly.org has decent BMW forums.

The fact that every third person has a BMW sort of kills it for me :) Still they can be quite decent cars, I'd love to have an Alpina D3. Fun to drive with diesel mileage.
