Happy Monday to all,
Fixed the fuel gauge, as it was in the tank sender it was full of rust so I disassembled it cleaned it with carb cleaner and it now works fine but the rust caused more problems last Thursday. On the way back from lunch, it started to stall and left me stranded at work rust had plugged the tank strainer and the fuel pump. After rigging up an electric pump and some aux. lines I drove it home and removed the fuel tank to clear out a coffee can full of rust debris . (Well I said the car was rust free, I guess I lied!) After clean out I installed a new tank strainer, a filter off the tank, and one between the fuel pump and carb. It is now works fine and the gauge & low fuel light works too! Repaired the odometer by replacing the whole speedometer found at the local salvage yard. Found that the horn problem is the horns them selfs so I will have to ordered both the high and low tone. Also repaired the turn signal lever so it holds .The tips on the repair of the turn signal switch worked great!! Thanks for the tips guys! I love this forum!!! :D
….Now if I can just cure that vibration between 70 and 80 mph!;)
Regards,
Bryan
