Hi Everyone!

Iīve been trying to get my car, 250C -69, back in one piece after hibernation for the winter. Otherwise itīs working perfectly, started fine, ran smooth and looked more elegant than ever.

The only problem Iīm having with "her" is that she burns fuse when I turn the lights on. The burning fuse is the one which contains left tail light, left parking, rear number plate and fog lights.

What would be the easiest way to find out what causes this misbehaviour that she is doing to me...She has been garaged in a dry place!

...I canīt wait to get it back on road again...after driving rusty Opel for 6 mths...

So PLS make this little easier for me!

Thanks,
Janne (from Finland)

Can you easily disconnect these lights and connect them one at a time?

Here's a sequence I have in mind:

Disconnect all lights in this left 'string.' Turn on lights with headlight switch.

If the fuse melts, the problem is between the switch and the first light, possibly a pinched wire in the body.

If the fuse does not melt, add the first light in the 'string.'

If the fuse melts, the problem is at at this light.

If not, add the next light.

etc., etc.

Fuse melting is a sure sign that there is a problem like a pinched wire. Fuses don't melt for 'no reason.'

Good luck and
BCingU, Jim
