Anybody else notice that the smilies don't work?

Or is it just me with Firefox?

I use Firefox, never have an issue with smilies. Multiquoting doesnt seem to work properly though.

What version of FF you using?

I've got 1.5.0.7 and recently added it. But, the problem just arose when I reinstalled the Trend-Micro anti-virus.

None of the smilies and none of the colors, bold, italics, centering, etc, work anymore. Close it and reopen it........no change.

Might have to go with Explorer. The new 7 is very fast and it doesn't hang like Firefox. I hate to see it go, but, there are just too many issues with it now.

Btw I just "upgraded" to the new Internet Explorer 7 or whatever they call it, I think it sucks. The old one was much better the controls for the new one are crap. I wish I could have stuck with the old explorer.

Bill, have any ideas on why none of the smilies and none of the controls above the text will function? Bold, italics, colors, attachments..........none of it is functional.

It's not Firefox because they work fine on another site with V-bulletin software.

It must be some type of setting that is amiss.

TIA.

It's a longshot but it could be a cookie problem.
Try clearing your cookies in Firefox.

Do you have the problem regardless of the Style you use? (ie -Normal vs Low Graphics)

Problem is the same, whether in normal or low graphics. When I click on a smilie, the cursor disappears.

I'll try the cookies.

Edited:

Cleared all the cookies........logoff........logon.........no benefit. Problem remains???

Rebooted...........no change. Are you using the Firefox plugin "AdBlock (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/)"?
I read some reports that it can cause images to be blocked from certain sites.

Another idea...
In Firefox you can right click on an image. There will be a selection that says "Block images from xxx.com".
If there is a check next to this then you are blocking images from that domain.
Try right clicking on some image in the Shop Forum and see what it says.

I did not specifically get AdBlock. If it came with Firefox, I'm not aware of it.

Right clicking on the Forum images shows no checkmark next to the line for blocking images.

But, lo and behold, under advanced options.........."allow text to be selected with the keyboard"............:D :D :D :D

I've been using Firefox 1.0.7 and never had any problems, except for an occasional screen written for IE where the text appears on top of itself, just hard to read. In that case I open up IE. O/W its Firefox for me!

Reid, I fixed it with a checkmark next to inserting text from the keyboard.

Now, if I could just figure out why it hangs fairly frequently. Happens several times per day and then just disappears. Wonder if it's the ISP?
