i've been reading several threads regarding leaking into the interior. of some of the threads i've read, folks have mentioned checking drains? my haynes repair manual nor my owners manual say anything of position of where these drains are located. i bought a '78 240D nearly a month ago, pulled the interior out (carpet included), was about to put back together, and now have water leaking into the interior due to recent rain. it appears to be coming in under the dash, running down the kick panels (nearest the door jams-both sides), running from ther front to rear floorboards, then puddling at the rear. i opened the hood and noticed that the cavity under the hood hinges/springs are flooded. i also noticed that the windshield molding resting closest to the glass is missing the bottom of three screws (both sides). any help please?!?! i've been losing sleep over this....
