Seems like you would do more research before just buying a stereo. This car is not your ordinary run of the mill car. The receiver and amps are in the trunk. Not a simple plug and play install by any means.

Search this forum on maybe sound system W124 and you will see a bunch of info.

Good luck,

Steve

Mario:

Check the Crutchfield catalog.

They usually have installation kits for different kinds of cars.

The installation can be tricky. If you install an aftermarket unit you will need to bypass the built-in amps. Also, while you are at it, by-pass the useless console fader.

A few years ago I bought a radio and CD changer for my 91 350SDL with a kit that allowed use of the installed amps from S&W 1-800-270-2378. I don't know if he is still in business. Noodles

I just had a head unit installed in my 92 300e. The guy that installed it for me, bypassed the amp in the trunk. I am pretty sure that crutchfield has everything you need to do this install. And even if you dont buy anything from them I would bet that you could still ask them what you need to get and how to do it. Good Luck.
