I can get a pretty good deal on a OEM Cd player but I'm not sure if it will fit my car.
My car; 1995 300D
CD Player; OE part No. A 002 820 79 89 Model No. MC 3198

My car is already has the plug in the trunk for a player.

highly unlikely it would fit. would bet good money on this. why? because
your model/year was running with old school connections. the MC3198 is
fiber optic, D2B compliant and is suitable for cars roughly 99-02. if you
try plugging it in, you'll not be able to find the proper fittings for the jacks
on the changer.

tip: sometimes you can get clearer picture of compatibility by plugging
in the accessory info into Ebay and seeing if someone has posted
compatibility chart.
