Radio code sheet states that E5 is something wrong with CD player connect input with output at cd player in trunk and isolate the CD player out of the system. I looked at the wiring and the plugs and found nothing that would do that do I need an adapter or am I missing something?

Your system is defective. Send in both pieces(head unit and trunk receiver) we will exchange them for $175.00
