Folks, I have used Freeze 12 as a refrigerant, and was wondering if anyone knew of a shop located somewhere in Northwest Houston that could add some to my car, a 1983 300D (W123). Thanks so much in advance!

What is that, RF? Is it R-12 or some type of reasonable facsimilie?

It's sold as a replacement for R-12 but you don't need a license to purchase. Diesel Giant sells it on his site. Don't know much more about it. There were two cans in a car I bought under contents the mfg. put "TRADE SECRET" The cans take the old R-12 slide tap

Do you mean that I could purchase it from a retailer and install it myself? Does anyone in Houston sell it to the public?
I have an old R-12 set of gauges that I could hook it up to. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you are in towards town, I would call Gary Fruge, Fruge's in the Heights on Washington 713-862-0106. If you are out west, call Mike Haven at MPH, 281-579-8885, he's in Park 10.
Both are great places to get any sort of work done on your MB

Call the guys at Friendswood Car Care 281-648-CARS. He's got a vacuum setup for R-12 & R-134. I understand the Freeze 12 now has to be bought with a license, but Russell at www.dieselgiant.com (http://www.dieselgiant.com) has a link to the EPA site, where for $19.95, you to can become certified to buy Freeze 12.

why not call a local parts store in your area!! freeze12 has been on the market for over a year and can be picked up at most parts stores. I have seen it in a lot of independent part's stores in the south Texas area.

Mike won't touch bandit gases. If it is not R12 or R134 you are SOL. He will tell you to go somewhere else.
