My 2001 ML430 is hitting 150K miles now with probably original spark plugs (i'm 2nd owner). I need a good and cheap mechanic to do the plugs/tune up. Any good suggestions?

P.S. I checked the belts with HBL and they said there were still good. Anything else I should be replacing or servicing at this stage?

Thanks very much!

If you don't mind driving it up to Frederick, Johnhef can do that for you. He's a great MB mechanic and a helluva nice guy.

In northern, Va there is guy named Peter who owns a shop in Vienna called Silver Star. He does nothing but Mercedes Benz and is very good with the older ones and his prices are main stream. Also, in Falls Church a guy named Don Pool has a shop on Lee Highway.

I believe Don Pool posts stuff on this forum, too.

I was going to say John's garage too, but didnt' want him to get swamped with business.. Not like that's a bad thing.

It was Chuck Taylor I was thinking of when I mistakenly said Don Poole. Chuck is also in Falls Church.
