View Full Version : Giles Injector pumps?
Monomer 03-12-2008, 08:44 PM The VW guys all swear by this shop over in canada. He can do complete fuel re-mapping on the Bosch VE pumps, I wonder if he can do the M/MW pumps.

Monomer 03-13-2008, 07:07 PM Just got off the phone with Giles.
He's done a few MB pumps before, but didn't know there some of us looking for more power.
I told him about this site; I hope he'll chime in soon.

VERY exciting news!! Thanks Monomer!
bgkast 03-13-2008, 10:07 PM If just one injection shop in the US would spend a bit of time on pulling more performance from the MW pump they would get a fair amount of business. I know Brandon314 was working with Diesel Fuel Injection Service of Portland a few months ago, but I don't know how far he got...

I believe they sourced 10mm elements, but that is as far as it got.
winmutt 03-14-2008, 01:01 PM Other than the rack limiter removal and torque adjustments without bigger elements there isnt a whole lot that can be done.
ForcedInduction 03-14-2008, 06:25 PM The M-Pump can get 6mm elements from the 606a pump and Myna sells their elements alone for about 45Euro each.
Monomer 03-14-2008, 07:00 PM he does do plunger re-sizing or whatever it maybe called.
I believe the VE pumps went to 9mm - out stock MB pumps are 5.5mm....(so I've read)

Thanks for the info :)
So what mods to our M and MW pumps would you like to sell us? ;)
Giles@PDI 03-19-2008, 10:55 PM Hi
I have done a number of stock M/B before and tweaked the pump
cc's in the right places and it made a really great car to drive
as for changes to modded vehicles i will need to start changing
internal pump parts and trying to find the right Bosch part #'s
for this is really hard but i will try.

Thats the problem I have....
Trying to find larger elements that have similar characteristics to the original 5.5mm ones fitted....
I believe the Myra lot used 7mm elements but havent a clue from what or if they are otherwise similar as to top cut/helix:confused:
I can get nearly any element you like, Just don't know the numbers!
VeeDubTDI 03-26-2008, 11:26 PM Someone needs to send Giles the dieselboost videos. :) Tell him that's what we're looking for. :D
