This isn't my car. I figured I'd post it for inspiration to others.

This car belongs/belonged to Chuck, a member here. It occasionally pops up on craigslist at different prices with a different owner. Not sure why, maybe it had problems.

Either way, its definitely an impressive vehicle. I don't know if the compressor housing and intake are welded or custom cast.

1969 220D hotrod project for sale
Om 617A with Five speed, and air to water intercooler. all this came from a running car that someone built but the body was trashed si I transplanted it . it started as an easy swap but when I descovered the need for a subframe and coresupport swap things slowed down.

The good : the engine is good the turbo works the five speed works it is all mounted ( except the shifter mech) drive line is in.

Bad : body is so so interior is all there but used ,< hey its almost fourty years old!> lots of little things to do but easly in the range of a handy person.
I will never finnish this. Project. BUt IF you do you will be the only one on your block, city, state country, world to have one.

OF split it up use the five speed in your car sell the 617 wave the intercooler at friends. Make some money

Come get it for $1,000

Might be worth it just for the tranny.
On second though, after looking at the photos, it's an old style 5 speed.

A 5 speed is a 5 speed. :D I don't think it's for sale any more though...

Its not for sale anymore. I almost had it. So close, came up short with a trailer, then found out 2 days later one of the sacramento dudes would have towed it for me. I was pretty sad about that one, especially at $750.

Who has it now and are they working on it, or did it get crushed?

Never found out who bought it, but I'd guess the good stuff (intake, intercooler, and 5 speed) were taken and added to a w123, well that what I would have done ;)

Is that a manifold pressure gauge from an aircraft?
