Hearty recommendation here for Jonathan Hodgman with Blue Ridge Mercedes in metro Atlanta.

He has done a fair amount of work (things I lack the time, tools, or both to do myself) to my old gal 300CD including re-retro-fitting the A/C to R12, :D which now freezes me out of the car even in an Atlanta summer. :D:D

Jonathan is exceptionally thorough and his labor rate is fair as are his prices for parts. It is quite nice to work with someone who clearly enjoys what he is doing for a living - that makes writing him the check somewhat less painful. :D

Great shop. Jonathan runs a very professional operation and the quality of his work is top-notch.

He also has the sweetest looking 560SEC that i've ever seen. When I lived in Atlanta, I met up with Jonathan who identified a spring perch problem on my W210 and advised me to contact MB Corporate, I chewed them out and they repaired the car for free. That was the first touch.

The second touch was when I owned my W108 that was running horribly when I first got it. Even though Jonathan did not work on this car, he saw me stranded, stopped to help me get the car running and then followed me home.

Now there's a stand up guy for you.

He's probaby one of the most knowledgeable people you will meet in terms of W126's/W124's and mercedes of that vintage. When it comes to old-school AMG work, he's the guy to go to. He's even working on a TWIN TURBO M117 project amongst other things. Those in the ATL area are lucky to have a guy like him in the area.
