Appears to be a "Euro" 500e on EBAY with options we've discussed elswhere (Fire Bottle, E/S Trans Switch, Trip Computer, etc) at the following link:

No comments as to whether its Grey Market or not.

This does appear to be a euro model of some sort. The steering wheel and the climate control panel don't look right to me Also, note the missing passenger air bag. I think it would be one cool car to have...

good catch on the airbag. Had I only waited a few months, I could have avoided my better half's whining about being limited to two kids in the car at a time...Oh well.

Steering wheel looks after-market and not a match to the rest of the wood. I've seen the climate controls on other models owned in Europe on this forum.

It's all there in black & white.

"I purchased this car in Europe and used it as my personal business car. After selling my company in 1999, I brought it to the United States where it has been titled since March of 1999 (Tennessee title). Modifications: custom grill, custom wood/leather steering wheel,"

Wasn't it possible for US Expats to pick up US spec. cars while in Europe and then bring them here upon return, without mods. otherwise required of a Grey Market car (reinforcements to side panels, etc.). My '76 TR6 was purchased in GB and brought back here by original owner who was in the military, had 5mph bumpers and air-pump, etc. which I'm not so sure a Euro market counterpart would have had. Of course, I could be wrong.
