Members of the MercedesShop "family" have used Rennsport for many years and have experienced nothing less than consistent results of the highest quality. During a recent tour of their facility I saw everything from Indycar wheels to concours quality ducktail Porsche Fuchs alloys to Viper wheels....and lots of Mercedes wheels of all vintages.
They have all of the high precision CNC controlled horizontal lathes, milling machines and boring mills necessary to insure wheel repair and roundness within 0.01" which is far tighter than the 0.04" tolerance on most fine alloy wheels. Each wheel is painstaking prepped prior to painting using plastic and/or glass bead blasting and polishing. The painting process includes multiple coats of primer, silver paint and clearcoat. Paints meet the exact color standards of the OEM. Being an old manufacturing guy myself, I was quite impressed with their shop's capabilities and results.
