There's a new article in the FEATURED CARS section of MercedesShop that deals with Sportline. We now offer a Sportline conversion kit in PartsShop for all W124 300E/E320 owners.
Read what Sportline is and what our first customer has to say about the change it made to his car.

Do you have any info on the other Sport Line bits and pieces? Items such as the tighter steering, smaller steering wheel, interior mods......

Not at this time.
If there's enough interest, we might pursue it but, we thought the maximum bang for the Sportline buck is in the suspension.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Or not at all.
Webmaster:
Your reasoning seems pretty good to me. The steering felt so much better after the conversion that I am not sure I would play with it any more at this point. I might rethink this when it is time to replace the airbag. A smaller steering wheel might be more fun and may not add too much to the cost when the airbag is done. (or maybe it would - I don't know.) Would a smaller wheel be appropriate without changing to the faster steering parts?
Much as I would like more comfortable seats, and the Sportline/500E seats sure look good, I would really have to think about the added costs. Right now the car looks stock, but a smaller wheel and different seats might look out of place - maybe even alter resale or not be recoverable after an accident? Guess I'll just have to find a 500E!

The Sport Line steering wheel kooks better than stock and would go well with the tighter seating ratio. I like the looks of the Sport Line seats also, sort of a Rocaro look. I know it all looks good in a friend’s 500E. I like the consol in the rear too. Are any of these items available from “dead stock” or wrecked 500E’s? There must be a lot of those, percentage wise.

We haven't priced out new seats and steering wheels because they are likely to be cost prohibitive. BRABUS, for example, charges $1,300 for a steering wheel. That assumes that you keep your existing air bag. The MB Sportline wheel requires a new airbag in addition to the price of the steering wheel. My guess is the whole thing would run about $1,600 or so. If really interested, submit a Parts Information Request and we'll see what we can determine.
The cost of the Sportline/500E seats would be VERY high...perhaps $4,000-5,000. The best bet would be to look for a wrecked 500E but, there are very few of those.
