I think you guys are on the right track, but missing out on potential sales. I don't see MB special tools for sale! Have I not looked in the right places or asked the right questions? I have gone to other parts houses to buy injector sockets and fan clutch sockets. Since most of your customers are technical and DIYer's, why not offer these complimentary products and keep us coming to you and away from competitors? Youknow what tools we need and I am willing to buy things like vacuum testors and cooling pressure testers, because the cost isd not that much and I know that after I am done, it will really be fixed!
Anyone else that aggrees, please post a reply!

We do stock several tools and can special order about anything. Maybe what we need to do is put together a page like our "Additives Page" that features only special tools.
What do you think?

Peachy keen, even. I need stuff like tie-rod pullers, and such. I recently ordered the spring compressor via a special parts request. More tools would be great.

We can get any of the Hazet brand and the Stahlwillie brand. They are good German tools. I Have the catalogue, we will have to put the pages together.

I know this is an old thread, but I'd like to revive the idea of MShop offering special tools for sale via Fastlane / Phil. Maybe start with a page with the really common tools (photos and descriptions are a must!).

I'd like to revive the idea of MShop offering special tools for sale via Fastlane / Phil.We have always and do continue to offer special tools for sale via Fastlane / Phil. Special tools are NOT in our online catalog. You have to call or email Phil. Just tell him what you need and he can get it.

It would be nice to have a page with pics and short descriptions of some common DIY tools. This way, we can make sure that the tool we are thinking of is correct, and when we call Phil to order, we can give him the correct name of a tool. As in the whatchmawhoozit that squeezes the things so you can get the stem out of the hole. (Tie rod puller)
We might even discover the existance of a previously unbeknownst tool.
What say ye?
thanks!
