Thanks in advance. metricman 10-16-1999, 11:30 PM There are two little flat slots on each bottom corner of the radio that you insert a pair of MB special tool 'keys'. I have never tried to insert anything else because I have always had (and never lost) the correct tool. But with a phillips screwdriver you can remove the storage compartment behind the shifter wood (2 screws at the front), 1 screw holds the back of the shifter wood down, remove the ashtray insert and remove the 2 screws down under and after you pull the ashtray out you can reach under the radio and pull it out. Oh yeah, make sure you have your radio code BEFORE you unplug the radio because it wants the password or it don't work no more. Quick and simple in just a few minutes... ------------------ Jason Alexander 10-17-1999, 10:34 AM If you don't have the "keys" to insert into the slots on the side of the radio you can also use a paperclip or light gauge wire instead. Also on this type radio installation, you won't need to remove anything else to gain access. Just pull the shift lever back all the way to low gear to have the room to pull the radio all the way out. ------------------ ASE Master Technician, Lead Technician for Deutsch American Inc.
