I'm thinking about buying a new car, and am trying to determine what I might be able to get for my 1973 450sl.
It's in excellent condition. 112,500 original miles. Prievious owner had it for 29 years. Always well maintained. I've put a lot of money into it during the last year: new radiator, rotors&pads, shocks, front suspension rubber, rear rubber suspension mount, new air conditioning hoses& switches and idler pully, steering box, master cylinder, engine mounts. And more. I have all receipts.
I just had the front subframe replaced under the MB program.
Previous owner did a bare metal repaint about 12 years ago with original light metallic blue, and its a great paint job, except for a couple of small spots. Dark blue MB tex interior in excellent condition. Convertable top is like new.
It leaks about 2 drops of oil every other day or so from the right rear head gasket.
Michellin MXVs with about 15,000 miles on them, in very good condition.
It has to be one of the best 73 450sl's in Southern California.
Asking $13,250.
