I am having problems getting a fuel feed from my gas tank to the engine. This is the first MB that I have owned and am at a loss.
I've check the filter, carbs etc...Does my car have an electric fuel pump or is it mechanical? Any help will be appreciated!!!

Assuming your '71 250 has the 2.8 liter M130 motor (with 2 Zenith carbs), it has a mechanical fuel pump. Follow the supply line back from the fuel filter and you will see it. Also, there is a filter in the fuel tank. It is screwed into the bottom of the fuel tank. Look for what appears to be a plug with a large hex socket in it (I don't remember what size hex).
