I am replacing some floor panels and fenders. I intend to sandblast everything else clean and want to put a good undercarriage paint on. What should I use? I have seen ads in Hemmings for POR-15 and Bill Hirsch's new line of Chassis paint. For once, I am not as concerned about originallity here as I am about using the best of todays technology. Any suggestions???

I've used POR-15 on my Packard. Great stuff.
It's tough and holds up well. Only possible down side is
that it's sensitive to UV, but on the undercarriage, it's a non
issue.

If it was my car, I would first apply a couple of coats of PPG's epoxy sealer. The part # is DP40 for gray. This stuff has outstanding adheasion qualities. I use it any time bare metal is exposed.
Next I would apply a coat of acrylic enamel or urathane.
I would then finish it off with 2 or 3 medium coats of rubberized undercoating. ( use 3M's best , not the cheep stuff)
GOOD LUCK
