I recently applied to work in an import shop here in Muncie, IN. I received a call today and it looks like I'm going to be hired. Since I am staying here through college I could probably be there for a while. The owner said that for a while I will have to do all of the jobs no one else wants to do (ie., sweep the floor, take out the trash, clean cars), but that later I will be taught how to do simple mechanics. Nothing too fancy, but Im sure it will help out when I need to work on my car. Oh yeah, the %15 discount is going to help out a bunch to. By the way the place is named, Muncie Imports.

Sounds like a great place to work if you're a car nut! Enjoy! You should be able to pick up some good tips and valuable info from some of the technicians.
I worked at a Saab/Alfa/Subaru dealership as a lot attendant for a few summers while in high-school and had a great time. Didn't learn much mechanically, but I got to drive some fun cars -- it was more fun than work.
The sales manager told me, "I would never sell a new Alfa to even my worst enemy!" LOL... so true, but they were a hoot to drive. The older Alfa's (circa 68-72 were better IMO).
Anyhow, have fun!

Well I went into the shop today to talk to the owner, and it looks like I will be getting some mechanical knowledge, and even performing simple operations on cars.
