Too rich looking for this humble redneck :) but I'll think about it. My ideal GTG would be at the Pull A Parts place off of Moreland Ave and I285 to see what all I can pick up for the W123 :).

Post this on all of the boards Pres. I'll see if I can get there early and bring the Monster.

Benzmac,

I'll post it in all forums. Maybe the MB's could "take over" one weekend:D :D :D

Engatwork,

LOL. Weren't you the same "humble redneck" who wore a very nice (swiss) watch to the last GTG Mikemover organized? C'mon. This will be fun. It would be good to see you again.

Any other takers? Their website states:

"Admission is always free and there are no registration fees!"

LOL - yea, that was me. I'll try to come and may even do it in the 300D (versus the E320) to maintain my "status". It will be based on how hot the ambient conditions are.

I will say that watch don't impress my redneck friends nor does it keep as good a time as my Casio. I spent more on having it overhauled this past year than I spent on clothes LOL :) and the wife says it shows. There are grease stains on everything in my wardrobe - at least it all matches - diesel black :). The OEM recommends overhauling that watch every 7 years.

I'll plan on attending and bring the boys - they get into the high performance cars as much as I do.

Unfortunately I'll be in Colorado, but I'm sure you guys can carry the Star just fine without me.

Engatwork,

I would like to meet the family! Look forward to it.

Bpkinatl,

Too bad, would have liked to see your coupe. Enjoy "Colorful Colorado".....I lived seven years in Denver, but Atlanta has been home since '89. Catch you next time:cool:

Scott P.,

You bringing the V-12?

I suspect it is the one doing the burnout on the (I'm sure - closed to the public) public road in front of the shop at the top of this page. You can always tell where the real enthusiast live/work in this part of the country - there are burnout markes on the road in front of the place :):).

Got a couple of e-mails and a phone call from local MBCA members who are planning to attend as well.

There may be a dozen or more MB's there.....not bad for short notice.

Hope the weather holds out:rolleyes:

Found the thread in another forum first but it looks like this was the original.

It looks like this meeting IS going to take place. So....I'll be there too! Looking forward to meeting others from the forum!

I just got off the phone with the organizers (2:10pm on 07/17/02).

This IS GOING to happen on July 20th. Apparently, they updated their website and were thinking too far ahead!!

It was a good time and there were lots of nice cars there. Good meeting some more folks from mercedesshop.com too.

There were easily over a hundred cars there (nearly a dozen MB's). The whole strip mall parking lot was consumed!

Virtually everything was represented....6 or 7 A/C Cobras, 2 Lamborghini Diablos, BMWs, a GT500, numerous Mustangs, Corvettes (all body styles), a Panoz, Vipers, numerous muscle cars, 3 or 4 Corvairs, Audis, a few Porsches, "pure" custom cars (an 80's model Caprice wagon with a 454 on nitrous!) and many others.

Nice "cruise-in". Next one is August 17th.

engatwork,

Great to see you again and nice to have met your son :)

ck42,

You have a very nice 300SD! Glad to finally have met you

It was nice meeting you guys (engatwork and ck 42). We will have to do it again. It's not very often that you have such a diverse gathering of "car people." Thanks for bringing up the idea E.P.!! What's everyone doing on August 17th?

.......pics are up......

www.carsncoffee.com/web_pages/cruise_in/july02/july02.htm

It is set up as a slide show, so it may take some time to go through them all.

Some very interesting rides (replica Corvette Grand Sport - early 60's), panoz, 340 'Cuda, cobras, etc.

I brought the CLK55, just a few shots of it parked next to the YLOSLK (yellow SLK).
