I used these on my '91 300E and currently have them on my '98 E430. I love them and would highly recommend them. MUCH better than the Conti's that come on some of the MB's. In fact, my fuel mileage actually improved when I put them on the 300E. I don't think you can buy a better all season touring tire.

Bill hit the nail right on the head. The MXV4 aka Energy MXV4 aka Energy MXV4 Plus; Great tire, IMO the best touring tire you can buy period. Most of the cars we drove on the racetrack were (unfortunately) shod with Conti touring or Conti sport but the E430 they had on hand was fitted with Michelin Energy MXV4's. At racetrack speeds/pace that car was the most stable car to drive at speed.

Hope this helps...Lee

I just purchased a set for my 300 E. I am very happy with the performance. Great choice.

I would repeat the rave reviews for the MXV4, including the improvement in gas mileage. I would add, though, that I got the best price deal from (believe it or not) the MB Dealer. They were tens of dollars cheaper per tire than even the least expensive of the tire dealers. It worked out to about $160 Canadian per tire including the mounting and the various and sundry taxes we have the privilege of paying.

Also check with Tirerack. I priced out many, many a tire from just about every public source. All things (read: taxes) included the 4 tires I am ordering from Tirerack are the best deal I can find. Shipping on a set of tires is almost always less than local tax. (especially if your buying Michelin's) Check with your dealer or independent on installation/balancing. (they may not install based on the "not our parts" rule) At worst you have to take it somewhere to be mounted/balanced.

Hope this helps...Lee
