I was thinking about a set of 205/50 tires on stock rims (15X6) for my 190D 2.5. I am looking for the lower gearing and better performance these will provide over the stock 185/65s. This seems a relatively minor change, however:

- will these fit?

- Will changes in alignment need to be made?

- Will these put additional stress on any front end components and will I get normal (for the chosen tire) wear?

- Will the ride be noticeably stiffer with these shorter sidewall tires? Slightly stiffer is OK but I don't want to ruin the ride.

You may ruin the ride, but you will also ruin speedometer/odometer accuracy and potentially cause other electronic gremlins. Stick with the stock rolling radius. Contact Tirerack for specific fittment options.

Hope this helps...Lee
