Actually, it's kinda too bad that the SoCal people aren't getting together in the next couple weeks; I'm here in the L.A. area until January 4th or so...

We are looking at April as a time.. We will do it... Rain or shine.. As the place where every one will be staying is under cover.. An old motel.. Clean but older.. All Cars park under a long cover in front of the rooms.. So weather will really make little difference.. However the date will really be set after I get a chance to talk to the people that run the motel.. They will be back in a couple weeks..

Ok... Here is what we have come up with..

Date... April 26-27 Rain or shine..

Location.. Yreka Calif.. Thats on I-5 100 miles north of Redding Ca, and 50 miles south of Medford Ore..

Meeting at .... Wayside Inn 1235 South Main St.. Yreka, Ca..96097

Phone.. 530-842- 4412

Call about your rooms any time but sooner the better.. Talk to Sandy... This is an older but clean motel... Parking for most will be under cover with your car in front of your room.... There are 26 rooms with parking under cover and 15 with out cover..

This GTG is about cars and people... We want to meet and see cars.. Not worry about price.... So I have talked to Sandy and if you tell her its for the Mercedes GTG the price for two will be... $32 per night... That should be in the price range of every one so Price should not be a problem for any one... Call the motel as soon as you are sure you can make it..

Any one wanting to come sooner or stay longer is welcome.. Sandy said the price would be the same..

I really do not think any one can beat that for a weekend get away with Mercedes friends..

While we are together we will talk about doing it again..

Woops.. Wrong rig.. Thats my 71 VW Bus.. and Mt Shasta in the back.. Nice little hill we have out here just over 14000 feet high..

Thanks Ken, a nice picture of your VW Bus...I have owned two
bugs and one Ghia. Am looking forward to getting the 85 Mercedes 300D Turbo in the high country to see how it can climb those little hill. Have had it on some 7% grades for over 3 miles without any trouble. This makes my third Diesel Mercedes and have almost 700,000 in these cars.

When we had our airplane we flew by Mt. Shasta on the way to
Crescent City.
