Thanks 300d4me 05-28-2003, 01:46 AM Found a good shop in Las Vegas, but they are pricey. Frank's Mercedes (Decatur & Sahara ish) is who I used upon recomendation of my boss. He has a '64 230 SL, and as the boss can afford the labor rates. They offerd a ride too drop off the car, and even dropped off the car at my house when it took longer to finish than originally estimated. 300d4me 06-18-2003, 04:19 PM I dropped in the shop again as I picked up a new '77 SLC, to get an estimate to have them do a once over and I found out that referrals get a free oil change... so if you feel obliged you can use my name as a referral and please drop a note if your experience differed from mine. recruiting 05-15-2005, 01:03 AM I was a FRANKS MERCEDES fan before I had my water pump done there for 600 bucks WITHOUT THE WATER PUMP. Yes, I went in with the water pump and they not only charged me 600 bucks to install it BUT CAUSED A POWER STEERING PUMP LEAK while they were at it!! I took it back to have them fix it and SOL or SAL whatever his name is said you need a head gasket when you have a minute!! WTF! and he never said a word about the power steering leak! GO TO THE DEALER IF YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED LIKE THIS!! My UPPER timing chain was leaking... I'll never go there again, EVER! My butt still hurts from that one! superdave 05-15-2005, 02:08 AM went there as a new 300sd owner to get a few questions answered a week ago and all they would tell me is 95.00 to bring it in. all i wanted is someone to confirm or deny valve noise. thanks to all the help on this site i was able to adjust the valves in a matter of a couple of hours and i didnt need to take it to them. so my experience with this was not good at all. thanks, dave p.s. if u find a better one in town i would love to hear. recruiting 05-15-2005, 06:06 AM Me to, Franks Mercedes of LAS VEGAS has become a total rip off. They charge with in few bucks per hour of the REAL Mercedes dealership, why go to them... DON'T. Honesty is not their Hallmark, cheating a customer is..... Come to find out FRANK was a Service Writer for Mercedes, and can you trust the service writers hell no! rhino 05-24-2005, 12:36 PM Autobahn Repair, on Wynn/Trop, right before the Orleans. (702) 364-5666. Bruno used to work for the dealership, has had his shop for over a dozen years. Has several mechanics, only work on MB's. Labor rate is not cheap, the same as Fletcher Jones, but they seem to be fair and do good work. They replaced my vacuum pump, to the tune of $700, but when they gave me the old one, they took the time to show where the shaft/piston had torn, making a rebuild impossible. They also have a 'porter' on from 10 to 3 to shuttle ya in the local area. I give 'em two thumbs up, but after only one repair. recruiting 05-24-2005, 03:32 PM Fletc rates, huh? But it's good to know there is another MB shop out here!! Thanks :sun_smile Hot today aye!! paul300td 06-18-2005, 03:43 AM I took a 1965 220SEb Coupe in to Bruno for a pre-purchase inspection. Great price and was thorough. Very helpful and even had his guys help me load the car onto the trailer for my trip back to California. Honest and reliable. Dealers do not always have mechanics on board that are intimate with the older cars - Bruno's guys do it right! :sun_smile Sue C. 11-09-2006, 12:15 AM :fork_off: I been at such shop, with all the madness and "BIBLE Quotes" he wants you to turn your other cheek and let your wallet do the repair. BEWARE !!!! my expericence was bad, ugly and i still have a bitter taste  , he hired a drug user but feels he is doing a good deed.......... VinnieVegas 11-25-2006, 02:39 PM I found a great new MB independent shop in Las Vegas. Their name is G&G Autohaus. They have a very clean shop and have only been open about 4 months. They only do MB repair. The shop is owned by 2 very good MB certified technicians, Austin and Iram . Iram has been around quite a long time in Vegas doing only MB repair and Austin previously worked at the local MB dealer. I have been to them several times now and am quite happy with their service. Their number is 364-BENZ or 364-2369. They are very close to the corner of Decatur and Meadows. By the Meadows mall. Their address is 325 South Decatur Las Vegas, NV 89107. Being a new first time MB owner, I found out these guys will inspect your car (while you watch) and take you under the car and show you what they found. If you elect to do the work they offer free valet service and wash your car when the repairs are done. My experience is that they are quite honest and very resonable on their prices. Much better then dealer pricing. I have pretty high standards and I am quite picky with who I allow to touch my car. I do alot of my own work on my own vehicles, but when I can't I will be doing all my service with them. Try them out. Feel free to mention my name. Vinnie michelespets 12-01-2006, 12:30 AM I'm here in Vegas and since you said in your post you do most work on your MB I was wondering if you have ever changed out the above valve? My MB is a 1989 300 TE Wagon and can't get any heat in to car? Get my parts from Autohaus,AZ and their valve looks like mine. Have done some work on my 2 Triumphs and the wifes Subaru but this is my first MB. Is there anything tricky I should know how to do or is this a straight forward R & R? TIA for any help offered. Vinnie I went to them today after the rcommendation of Vinnie. I am totally impressed with the very fair bill I received for my repair. And on top of that the car was washed and detailed before I picked it up. This should be the shop all Mercedes owners should be using. In all my years I have never been treated so well and feel so confident in the maintenance they performed on my C230. If the employees of G&G read this, you can be proud of the great reputation you are building. You have my business for as long as I drive Mercedes cars. Thanks. bdelmonico 10-07-2007, 09:02 PM First, the place you DON'T want to go is Fletcher Jones!! The place you DO WANT TO GO is G&G Auto Haus 702.364.2369! Iram and the guys are HONEST, REASONABLE and TIMELY! Just had a Belt tensioner replaced on my 92 500 sl. Drove in from OUT OF TOWN ,with no appointment, there were 3 cars ahead of mine. Told them I need the car today and they put me ahead of every one else because i was 115 miles from the house. New tensioner, belt and labor 360. Fletcher jones wanted almost 800 for same job. These guys are located @ 325 decatur in Las Vegas NV. Anybody recommend a good MB shop in Las Vegas? Thanks |
