Adams '80 G. He's spent a lot of time fixing his one up. I guess it was a real rust-bucket when he got it.:)

This had to be seen to appreciate. A Brabus 5.8L with a Kleeman supercharger. I think he said it dynoed at something like 360HP at the rear wheels!

Rick:

I had a great time. Really nice to meet you and the others. I'll get my pics up too, but gotta "tweak" them a bit, forum said they are too big! Damn digital cameras.

rickg
03-16-2003, 02:49 AM
And my last one. I took alot more, but I'll let the others fill in. Hope I got stuff straight. And notice I did remember to blank out the license plates!
I've got the warm fuzzies from today. What a great group of people I met today:D Group hug all around!
Let's start talking about a summer GTG soon. Our friends in BC said they'd be willing to meet in the Bellingham area, or we could go over to their side. And it was mentioned that we should make it a real GTG complete with a BBQ and all. I say let's do it!:)

Really nice to meet all you Benz buffs.

Oh, and thanks a lot for making me get in trouble with the park ranger guys;)

She let me off with a not so friendly warning. How was I supposed to know that 40mph in a 15mph parking lot was frowned upon?:D

Hey Silversurfer, good thing she didn't see the Unimog's burnout!!:D

Glad she just slapped your hand. I felt bad for encouraging you when I saw the flashing lights!:(
Hope to see you at the next meet anyway:D

Your G Wagon is bad-ass! I was really impressed with your little display of power. Thankfully the ranger let you off.

Great! I'll be back from vacation after the first week of July, then all I have going on the rest of the summer is my daughters wedding on Aug 16th.
I still can't believe the luck we had with the weather!:D I think it was Greg's doing with his PMA about the weather;)

Great pictures, Rick. Was good fun seeing all the different cars and trucks and meeting all the nice folks. It was a great turnout. We definately need to do this again.

Maybe as you get names and match them to the cars, you could go back and edit the pictures messages?

Kyle, here's some info on the Euro lights (http://homepage.mac.com/dakota/EuroLights/EuroLights.html). I think you would really be impressed with the improvement.

Hey, Dennis, you should have stopped in...we could have had more fun than at the in-laws. ;)

Awesome AMG you have. Wish I had that V8 in my car. :)

Good idea. I just did yours and Denlasoul's. Can't remember his friends' name with the C36 AMG.
I don't remember the years of your cars. Send me a PM if you want more info added to your pix:)

Chris (ROLLINAMG) had the C36.

dakota: yeha, you are probably right about being with the in laws! LOL My wife and I are considering moving down around that area. Who knows?

Super shots Rick!

I certainly was happy to see the diverse number of MB's. Some very nice rides out there.

FYI, Lonny brought the black extended cab Unimog 404, Aaron brought the yellow Unimog 416 and Zach was driving the 300TD.

You were also right about the amount of oil that made its way out of my transfer case. I stopped to fill it up and I was down about 300ml (out of 1700ml). The underside of the G is sure slick looking now!

I added the info. Thanx. By the time I got home I couldn't remember everyone. Should have taken notes. I will next time:)

Nice showing guys! Great turn out and the most varied group of MB's for a GTG I've seen - heck AMG cars AND Mogs!?!? That's awesome.

I would have brought my E420, but looks like W124's were better represented. If It's the same next time, I'll drive the 240D...

- Ryan

My 64MB Compact Flash card crapped out about a month ago, so I didn't take many pictures with it at the GTG. However, I did get plenty with my trusty old SLR. I will try and get the film developed in the next week or so, and try and get my pictures up soon.

All,

Thanks for putting this event together. It was nice talking to you and seeing the diverse rigs. I'll certainly try to make the next one as well - B'ham or closer to Vancouver (BC) would be fun.

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good body shop in Washington area? I live by Washington National Golf Course (Auburn/Black Diamond) and work in Issaquah...anywhere around that area would be fine. I have been thinking of having my Audi repainted. I am even open to garage painters on a cash basis.

Nice Pics on the GTG...hope to join you guys on the next one.

See you guys soon,
Jay

Who? I have two Coupes, an '82 and a '83. I'd love to give these things a bit more power. Fun cars, but not real fast, as you know.
