Well, did everyone have a good time at the GTG without me?

I have been impatiently waiting for someone to post the follow-up since last night.

Heck, maybe I'm the life of the party and it just wasn't the same without me....:D

On a more serious note, I got a call from Enrique this morning on my fluid leak. It was the water pump leaking again. Damn! I checked my receipt, and my former mechanic replaced it almost a year ago. Don't you hate it when a newly replaced part fails, and it's out of warranty?????

Paul, is it leaking from the o-ring between the block and the pump? Thats where mine was leaking last year. Had to replace the pump since I was that far in to it, even though there was nothing wrong with it.
The GTG was great, with excellent weather. The food was fantastic. Blue skys all day. You had to be there. Waiting for the PICTURES to show up..........

Sorry you couldn't make it Paul, even more sorry about your water pump!

Here are a few pics that will be up temporarily - we are switching servers and domain names, so they may go away!

Driving up PCH in the rain - 2 500Es, DrBrandini's 300E, Placo1 in their RAV4 M class :D and my Sportline!

More PCH

Richards Coupe - The radiator was chrome finished, and I swear he used Fitz metal polish on the engine and shock mounts, and Gold Class on the exhaust manifold! Takes OCD to a new level!!!

We had rain on the way up, but enough sunshine to get sunburned from mid-morning on! Great food (Ribs, Sushi, Guacamole, chips, veggies, etc!) MBWerks/MercedesShop caps from Phil at FastLane, who deserves a Huge thanks for all the arrangements and the BBQ ribs. Many more pics coming I am sure, (Ashman and Placo1 had their cameras as well) I just don't want to put too many on our questionable server. 500Es, Alon's new paint job, and a tricked out 560SEC with an AMG 6 liter engine were snapped by several people, and there was a group shot as well. Lots of people dropping by to see the cars, and a real fun time.

Paul has to organize the next one (wine country or beach) since he bailed on this one!!! ;)

I'll trade it for your coupe!!!

Seriously, my wife thinks I am nuts for keeping my engine compartment so clean, but after seeing yours, she thinks I am only slightly crazed. ;) I took one look at yours and wouldn't even open my hood for the meet.

I had fun last Sunday meeting all of you for the first time. Great bunch. I had a camera but not a digital. I will post mine when I develop them.

Thanks again. Looking forward to the next one. Let's make it a drive run.

Phil, thanks a bunch for the privelage to drive your car, the planning, time, and money that went into this, great ribs, amazing homemade BBQ sauce, and great hats!!!

Norm and Glen, thanks for the rides, I really appreciate it, I couldn't have made it without you guys (and I'm totally impressed with the E500/500E's).

Glenmore, thanks for some more amazing guacamole. I can't seem to get enough of that stuff (I didn't eat all of it this time, Rich!).

To all the rest, I'm glad I could hang out with you guys and enjoy good food and good conversation!
