Hello again....just wanted to say that this site is GREAT!!

well, there is a set of AMG mono's. the silver clearcoat on one of them is peeling off. i dont know why. is that covered under MB warranty? It part of a C36 that is still underwarranty. if not, where can someone go to get it fixed? how 'bout chroming the wheels out? is that expensive? are chrome wheels a pain to keep clean?

If the car is under warranty the wheels should be under warranty. I'm not sure about specifics of the warranty regarding wheels so don't bank on it. Failing that you would want to get them refinished at a place like Rennsport. Their ad and a virtual tour through their shop is on this site. Just click their banner (on this site) and also look under the "Do It Yourself" section for "Tour of Rennsport". Check those out for wheel refinishing options. You will want to talk to a gentleman named Rob Rice at Rennsport.

I would highly advise against chroming the wheels. That process, in addition to being expensive, weakens the wheel by about 30%. Any chromed wheel will not pass TUV inspection. Rennsport offers polishing of metal wheels that is similar in look to chrome but maintains all of the wheels strength and has a much more durable finish.

Try the dealership first, if they do not want to repaint under warranty I would go to Rennsport. Let us know how it goes.
