I'm replacing my timing chain on my "83 300 TD-T,
since I'm doing it myself and is my first time.
I have a haynes manual.

I would like to ask you if you have done this before?

I know this is a two person job and since I can't
drive the car(no insurance and inspection)
I have to do it myself and my wife will need to help.
I need a crimping tool wich I rented from
www.performanceproducts.com and should be
arriving next week.

I'm also replacing the chain tensioner,gasket and
tensioner guide rail.

Is there anything that I need to watch out for?

I live in Lyndhurst,NJ (RT 17 and RT 3)
I will be tackeling this job next weekend,because
it is a little to humid now.

Any help welcomed.
