My 1991 black 300D is in need of some exterior help. The paint has some swirls and minor scratches, so I'm hoping to get away with having the dings removed (if possible) and a good hand detailing on the paint. Otherwise I guess its time for a major $$$ paint job. Anyone have any recommendations on a place in the Atlanta area?

Check out this place (http://www.executivecleancar.com/)
I was googling today about using a rotary buffer when I came upon their site. Since you have nothing to lose, I'd tell them you want to get aggressive with the reconditioning. They appear to be able to take care of the dings, too.
Let me know how it turns out.

Thanks. I will give them a try and post a review afterwards. They farm out the ding work which is fine. At least they acknowledge their limitations.

The thing that attracted my interest was that they explain what they do with the rotary buffer, and even give a guarantee. What IS that guarantee, by the way?

Why don't you give it a shot yourself and put the $$'s saved in your pocket. Hit a pawn shop and pick up a 7" right angle buffer and invest $20 in a "Ding King" (they do work well). There is a wealth of information on this site about buffing out paint.:D
