MercedesShop received the following press release from Brabus this week:

"Due to the overwhelming demand by U.S. customers, we are proud to announce
the opening of BRABUS North America in the summer of 1999.

Located in Newport Beach, California, this facility will feature all of what
BRABUS has to offer, including a state of the art showroom, displaying
complete vehicles, custom interiors, unique alloy wheel designs, aerodynamic
kits, increased displacement engines, and sport exhausts.

We have recruited an engineering team directly from our world headquarters in
Germany to run our performance tuning shop. This will ensure proper
workmanship in order to remain consistent with the BRABUS image established
over the past 20 years.

For our customers' convenience, we will also be offering most BRABUS products
to authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers nationwide. Our initial inventory will
be arriving in a few weeks, and once this inventory has been established,
BRABUS will be ready to begin advertising in the U.S. market."
