Any recommendations as far as headers and downpipes for the Eclass W210 E420? I see so many offered in Japan, none here other than Renntech's.
Also, suspensino packages. What's everyone using? I have H&R springs and bilstein shocks and lower spring pads (lowered in proportional #s). I'm thinking of changing the shock , spring, or the whole damn thing for something of a more comfortable ride (not bad now, but perhaps there's better?) Preferably a complete spring/shock combo made to work together.

I'm trying to order an airfilter from Japan that sucks in cold air from stock intake area but goes into a Cone ala K&N style. Pretty sweet looking. The HKS air filter kit for the C-Class works on an E, if u make an adapter, but the thing looks rather unhealthy (the green foam can filter, rocks perhaps? heh)

Any suggestions on suspension exhaust would be great. Also swaybars...do they help a lot on this car?

The only well designed suspension component system that I know will ride better is the stock one. Assuming that isn't an option you can try contacting Renntech, AMG, or Lorinser. Any/all of them should have matched suspension sets for your car. Renntech is the only one I know of that does a complete exhaust system from the headers to the tailpipe. Borla might make something sport as a cat-back system. They do OEM and aftermarket Benz stuff on a limited basis. I would go the route of software tuning before re-doing the stock intake unless your after a bit sportier intake noise. For real handling start by buying the best tires you can afford. Only then would I start getting into re-working the suspension. Just my opinion...Lee

Its hard to lower a car & put on stiffer shocks/springs and still have a good ride. Also low profile tires tend to make cars ride HARSH. Going back to stock springs & stiffer front anti-sway should help.
With emissions the way they are, try a Cat. back system.

In the May issue of MAXSPEED magazine (page 90) they reported that "EIBACH Springs now offers Pro-Damper shock absorbers designed to work in harmony with their performance springs" for the E-Class Mercedes. (Note: This Posting topic should be amended to read "Exhaust and Suspension".
