Usually it is the Over-voltage protection relay. I have seen this a lot of times!!! It is located under the hood on the passenger side below the plastic covering. It is silver in color and is about 3in tall and 1in wide with a fuse in the top of it.
PS I have seen the crank position sensor faulty as well I found it on a scope.

The EA/ISC/CC throttle actuator has an internal spring that holds the throttle slightly open in the "rest" position, at times I've found this spring broken. Try holding the accel. pedal slightly open & see if there is any differance when the car has the hot start problem.

The throttle actuator can cause many different running & stalling problems including idle surge. Many Benzes have engine wiring harness problems, from 8/92 to 6/95 production.
