View Full Version : Hoist lift point rubber grommets / pads whunter 02-12-2004, 10:18 AM Hello Everyone Hoist lift point rubber grommets. Anyone know the MB part numbers ? Thank you and have a great day. rickjordan 02-12-2004, 02:46 PM Are you talking about the rubber pads, like the ones on W124 cars.? If so, i can go look on my TD and see if there is a part number. whunter 02-12-2004, 03:56 PM yes. thank you leathermang 02-12-2004, 04:24 PM I am not sure the 123's have those.... they actually show pictures of a ' tool' which sticks into the regular jacking hole.. but then goes down below to stick the ( normal ) car stand on..... I will try to find it in the manual... Rick Miley 02-12-2004, 05:01 PM He didn't say W123. In fact, he didn't say which model at all! That might help. whunter 02-12-2004, 05:09 PM all 1985 and newer lrg 02-12-2004, 05:24 PM all 1985 and newer????? 1985 was the last year of the 123 chasis with OM617 engines. Newer than '85 (1986 and on) was the 124 chasis with the OM603 engine. I'm afraid you're not narrowing this down much. How about telling us the specific car/engine? leathermang 02-12-2004, 06:09 PM There used to be a game called " twenty questions"... that is what this feels like.... speedy300Dturbo 02-12-2004, 06:23 PM W126's had round ones, #126-997-1886 W124's were shaped a bit differently, #124-997-0486 dmorrison 02-12-2004, 06:27 PM For a 1986 300SDL W126 126 997 18 86 Are they interchangable I don't know Dave whunter 02-12-2004, 06:55 PM Hello Everyone I have had difficulty getting the part number from the local MB dealer. There are 87 vehicles needing these at this moment. It would be silly to attempt to give make, model and year on that many cars. Some times; you must ask silly sounding questions to get the correct answer. I would like to thank all of you for your help. aTOMic 02-12-2004, 10:25 PM I need one for a 96 E320 (W210). rear if that matters. Phil are you listening? whunter 02-25-2004, 08:50 PM Hello Everyone I think this thread should be added to the DIY links. It seems that one of four MB that cross my hoist are missing at least one pad. Nobody should have to suffer the run around the dealer gave me. BoostnBenz 02-25-2004, 10:40 PM Hmm if somebody insists I suppose I could but I don't agree that it would be well suited for the DIY page as it is focused on the W123s and they don't have the things you are talking about. Furthermore it isn't like it is a thread on how to change it, it is just a part number for it. whunter 02-25-2004, 11:01 PM Hello BoostnBenz You are right. Have a great day rg2098 10-23-2005, 04:22 PM There is a machined bar with a steel pad on the end for jacking up the car using the jack holes. I can get them from a machine shop I work at for around $100 if anyone is interested. whunter 10-23-2005, 04:25 PM There is a machined bar with a steel pad on the end for jacking up the car using the jack holes.
